Busch Creek Greenway

Overview

The Busch Creek Greenway will be an Off-Street trail in parts of town connected by Shared Lane streets which are mostly part of the Washington Bicycle Route currently. The trails will be 10' wide cement paths travelling along the creek from Jefferson and 8th Trailhead. The east end will connect up to the current Riverfront Trail. On-Street sections will be marked with signs and sharrows. This will be a great enhancement to our community serving not only the cyclists and runners, but also the local school community giving everyone a safe connection through town. It connects neighborhoods and schools so that the trail users can safely traverse town. It connects South Point School, Washington High School, and many homes to the riverfront trail on the east, But also connects all these to close proximity of heart of town. The trail head is only 2 blocks from City Hall, the library, Dairy Delight, Whimpy's, The Washington coffee house, and then only a couple more blocks away, Main Street Washington. All the people who live near the Busch Creek Greenway will enjoy a safe and scenic way to get around.
